Associated Press

LUBBOCK, Texas, Sept. 23 -- A Texas Tech law school graduate and his wife have donated six million dollars to the school.

The money from Mark and Becky Lanier of Houston will go toward building a high-tech courtroom and other amenities for Tech's law school.

The funds will be combined with matching resources from the school.

The building will be named the Mark and Becky Lanier Professional Development Center.

It will include a high-tech "Courtroom of the Future," a 300-seat auditorium, seminar rooms and office space.

Tech officials say gift is the largest ever to the law school.
