Multicast ISP Signs Exclusive With LawTV
WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y./NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 12, 2000-- Multicast ISP, Inc., a pioneering provider of real-time satellite broadcast distribution of streaming video and audio has signed an exclusive five-year agreement with LawTV.
LawTV, founded by Stan Chess, an Internet visionary and long-time leader in legal education, offers an extraordinary bundle of legal programming for attorneys, law students, legal professionals, and consumers. The first LawTV programming over The Multicast Network will be "The Law School Channel," with programs beginning in the fall of 2000. Shortly thereafter, LawTV will launch the "CLE Channel" utilizing the Continuing Legal Education programming of the nation's top CLE content providers.
Utilizing Multicast's superior media streaming capabilities, LawTV will deliver its law school content to law students nationwide, over The Multicast Network. The Multicast Technology uses KU-Band satellites to deliver streaming IP traffic, which can easily interface with campus area networks and deliver high-quality video and audio directly to the desktop.
